Hey! I'm Dimitri.
(Or just call me Dimi)
A coffee drinking, record listening, Netflix frequent watcher, laid back kind of guy. I’m originally from the island of Crete, Greece and have called Melbourne home for the past 12 years. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll most likely find me spending time with family, exploring new cafés around the city, or getting outdoors with my fiancée. I’m pretty easygoing by nature and love the simple stuff; good coffee, good company, and being present in the moment.
I’ve been lucky enough to photograph couples’ love stories since 2018. My approach is relaxed, natural, and focused on capturing things as they really happen; the laughs, the hugs, the quiet moments, and everything in between. I don’t believe in stiff posing or forced moments. I want your photos to feel like you. I genuinely love what I do, and it never really feels like work. It’s creative, it’s personal, and it’s an honour to be trusted with such an important part of your day.
- FROM THE START -
When I was younger, I used to wake up each day not quite knowing what I wanted to do with my life. I tried a few different jobs and couldn’t find something that felt right. I spent a lot of my spare time editing photos in Lightroom. Though I thought I was doing this just for fun, it sparked the artistic side in me.
Then I started taking photos. I soon discovered that being able to capture the special moments in peoples lives, in images that they can treasure forever, gave me a great sense of fulfilment and joy.
My passion for photography has grown even stronger with each passing year. I have met some incredible people and been to some beautiful places around the world along the way. Now, I can’t imagine a better way to spend my days. I am lucky enough to have found a job that inspires, pushes and moves me every day.
