Perfect for intimate celebrations, this package captures your day naturally and beautifully. I like to arrive 15–30 minutes before your ceremony to photograph the final details and quiet moments before it all begins. Then we’ll capture your vows, the kiss, and those first emotional hugs.

Afterwards, we’ll take some time for portraits of just the two of you—whether in a scenic spot, a meaningful location, or somewhere that fits your style. The focus is on real, honest moments and timeless images you’ll treasure forever.

The six-hour package is completely flexible and can be tailored to suit your wedding day, but the outline below reflects the most common way couples choose to use it.

I usually suggest starting coverage around 30 minutes before your ceremony, which allows time to photograph the setup before guests arrive.

Most ceremonies run for about 15-30 minutes, followed by the walk back down the aisle and those first hugs and congratulations from your guests.

Family photos typically come next, with bridal party portraits usually taking around 30 minutes. This timing can be adjusted depending on your schedule, location, and the size of your bridal party.

If time and weather allow, sunset photos are always a beautiful addition. Depending on your ceremony time, a six-hour package will generally cover most, if not all, of the key formal moments of the day.

Here is a potential timeline:

  • 3:30pm – Photographer arrives at the ceremony location to capture the setup before guests arrive
  • 4:00pm – Ceremony
  • 4:30pm – Ceremony concludes, followed by hugs, congratulations, and candid moments with guests
  • 4:45–4:55pm – Family photos
  • 5:00–5:30pm – Bridal party photos
  • 7:00–7:30pm – Sunset portraits (weather and timing permitting)
  • 7:45–9:30pm – Reception coverage (entrances, speeches, atmosphere, and candid moments)
  • 9:30pm – Coverage concludes

The ten-hour package is designed to be flexible and can be shaped around your wedding day, with the outline below reflecting the most common way couples use this coverage.

I usually allow around 50–60 minutes with each bridal party, depending on the size of the group and what’s happening at the time. It works best when both sides are getting ready close to one another, and if there’s anything important you’d love captured during this part of the day, we can talk it through beforehand.

I aim to arrive at the ceremony location about 30 minutes before it begins. Most ceremonies run for 15–30 minutes, followed by time to soak up the congratulations and hugs from your guests, with family photos typically coming next.

Bridal party portraits generally take around 35–45 minutes, with portraits of just the two of you saved for sunset when the light is at its best. Here is a potential 10-hour timeline:

  • 1:00 – 1:50pm – With bridal party one 2:00 – 3:15pm – With bridal party two 3:30pm – Photographer arrives at ceremony space
  • 4:00pm – Ceremony
  • 4:30pm – Ceremony concludes, followed by congratulations and guest interaction 4:45 – 4:55pm – Family photos
  • 5:00 – 5:30pm – Bridal party photos
  • 8:00 – 8:15pm – Sunset photos
  • 8:30 – 11:00pm – Reception coverage (entrances, speeches, atmosphere, dancing)
  • 11:00pm – Coverage concludes

what if it rains?

I’ve photographed plenty of weddings in the rain — it’s part of

Melbourne life. We can take cover when needed, find sheltered

spots nearby, or shoot indoors. Rainy days create soft, even light,

which means no harsh shadows, and often result in natural

photos with beautiful colour.
